My alternator needs a new voltage regulator and bushes. I've done it on my old merc so now I'll do it on the cruiser, just need advice from anyone who has done this so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

It's a GXL 100 turbo diesel hdj100r. Is the voltage regulator internal or external.

Need advice, a 1998 1HZJ105R 280,000 for $20500 in excellent condition. Has new tyres snorkel and all usual extras, log books, been in country its whole life. Is this a reasonable price or what should it be worth really???
