I want to go to a 265/70/16 which to me is the equivalent height to a 265/75/15, the 31/10.5/15 only has a load rating of 109 so is not any good.

I use Valvoline Super Diesel 15w40 WITH Nulon additive "Diesel Engine Treatment " with PTFE. Have a relay under the bonnet that connects up starting battery and back up for charging. Relay comes in on Accesories, want to change it over so only comes in when vehicle is running ie need acceess to an wire that is only powered up when ignition is on but under the bonnet

My HJ61 Turbo Diesel 1988 version has done 325,000 and has never jumped out of 5th, I would look at trying to buy a second hand 88/89 unit. In some parts of country WA 60 series were crushed for $25 a vehicle. Of course you may have to ring around NSW country wreckers.

I agree on the heavy duty clutch kit especially if you are towing. After towing our van (2500kg) for 600/700k in a day then reversing the van while the engine is still hot had vehicle shuder with the standard clutch. No worries with the HD unit.
