Sounds like you'v got a switch prob. they have 5 contacts in them 2 for low beam (1 for each h/light) same for high beam and the center 1 is parkers. Take the switch out and clean the contacts first, gently with fine sand paper and some contact cleaner and see how u go.

That is right the front and rear have a differant no. of splines, othwise there would b a puck load of gq's running around with the rear lsd in the front. There is a navara/ pathfinder lsd that bolts straight into the front diff though. Do a search through the pages of this site, i remember seeing ...

the gu's have stupidly small earth cables so when any extra's are added to the electrical system it stuffs everything up, run a nice thick cable from the neg battery post to the engine then from the engine block to the chassis, then run another earth from the neg battery post to the body... i fix ...
