That style are more suited to being side steps because they will bend up and damage your door sill if you come down on a rock.

Do you have to convert them to right hand drive?

Why would DOT allow these to be registered? Kinda unnecessary on the roads. Don't get me wrong, a brilliant truck but why can these be registered?

Why such low kms when they are obviously extremely old?

I can confirm this as well. I have tread removed back to the steel radial and bits of steel radial hanging out right around the outside of one tyre. Needless to say I don't have them on the car anymore as they are a time bomb. Also note I have a hair line fracture on the inside wall running ...

Your universal joints might be aligned but then your springs are not getting equal loading across the surface area of the end of the spring, the shocks, panhards etc are all twisted up. What's worse to have to contend with?

The adjustable rear control arms are to LOWER your pinion to keep the universal joints aligned. This will also keep your spring seats level. I think the above statement contradicts itself. You can't raise the truck and keep both the universal joints and the spring seats level unless you drop the ...

We did that at installation. Swapped the R -> L on both front and rear incase the stickers were on the wrong springs. No difference.

My GQ is exactly the same, from the factory and after a lift kit. I've measured many reference points on both sides and can't work out why it sags on the passenger front side. Looks shit house too. Any ideas?

Say you were going to run standard tyres for on road to keep it legal. 35's for offroad and just run rock crawlers for the reduction in low range. Would that suffice instead of changing diff gearing?

TD42T tuning Brisbane.

Hi all,

I've had a DTS turbo on my GQ for a year now and I would like to get an intercooler and have it tuned. What companies can you suggest?

Thanks.

I use black UV treated garden edging from Bunnings. 75, 100, 150mm widths. Cuts easily with tin snips. I use 100mm and it does expand in the heat of the sun, but tends to hold it's shape quite well. I won't be scratching my guards against trees or dirt mounds so I didn't need the flexibility of ...
