I think to find an open 4,11 it would have to come from an older model 45 series or a JDM import, as all the aussie spec landcruisers seem to have LSD after 1980?,which is K085 on the firewall plate. I put a 307 Chev into a 78 BJ 40 a few years ago, used FJ40 engine mounts, Toyota gearbox mounts (can't remember which model) swapped battery tray over, had to bend gear stick, HJ 47 radiator, (5 core compared to 3?) Holden V8 VR thermo fan and shrould sp? spacer for rear tailshaft, Holley fuel pump ...

cruiser ring and pinions are the same in the US. they got 3.7:1 in the 60, and 4.11 in the 62's but the bolt pattern etc are the same as ours. only differences are that their carriers are machined out to take the C clip to hold the semi floating axles in, where ours don't have the machining to hold ...
