Re: coiling a Lux

If your keeping your hilux on the road id be def coiling the arse end, you can get your coil rear end mod plated and engineered. Ive had mine with 3 link in the back using all gq coilhats and mounts etc, custom lower arms and an A - frame, for about 4 years now and have never had any dramas on road ...

Re: injected 5Lt into diesel Hilux, have lots of questions

Ok, about the serpintine belts.
Someone just told me that the serpintine belts came out on the V6s, and the 5lt V8s had veepulleys.

The same person has quoted me $350 for all of the following...
- all engine wiring and computer
- ignition module,
- alternator
- pwr steering pump
- and all vee ...

Re: injected 5Lt into diesel Hilux, have lots of questions

You will definatley struggle to fit an engine fan, my 304 is nearly touching the firewall and i struggled for clearance between pulley and radiator, before moving the radiator to the tray.

Is this a Gen 1 problem only, I easily fitted an engine fan with 20mm clearence to the radiator in a Gen 2 ...

Dunno what 75 cvs are like compared to anything else, but maybe they might get a bit of a tickle with some hp through em off road, and yeah may need to go to single piece rear shaft

Yeah gas research are the crem, $$$$$ though. Had gas on my old 308, it was a pig in every respect, gas research will be massive improvement.

But for the $$$, go fuel injection! Pic up 304 pretty cheap, more power, reliable, and not bad on fuel considering its a dirty 5.0 litre. Best thing ive done ...

If your considering the v6 id go a step further and look at the 304 5.0L. Same fuel economy from what i can tell, and the 304 will make a lot more low down torque.
Ive just gone from 308 on gas to 304 injected in my 86 single cab and so far i am getting 16 litres/100km, stays cool all the time even ...
