Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Took my cruiser driving today was fairly hot day and it overheated again and still rnning like crap, has anyone eles got anyother ideas?

I tryed all the things suggest today ended up being to much fuel so i backed of the fuel and funs alot smother but my turbo is barley boosing 4psi, if i put a intercooler on will that help me be able to put the fuel back in so i can get around 8 - 10 psi boost?

Iv got a 80 series 1993 1hz turbo, im having trouble with it overheating on a hot day soon as i turn the aircon on, it had brnadd new desert cooler radiator in it new water pump, viscos hub and thermostate. On occasion it will over heat up hill without the aircon on.

My cruiser before turbo at the wheels was on pulling 50kw yours before you put ur turbo on pulls more than mine with the turbo.

If anyone eles would like to post their dyno results and what they have done the would be appricated.

The turbo is of a 14.7L truck lol cost me 300 bucks to do the whole thing so im not complaining. its still pulling 20kw over standard. i got a intercooler for it is it worth putting on?

Yeh Pre turbo mate everything eles seem to be awsome i played with the fuel
today and got it working good around town it will only boost to 10 psi but
out on open rd it gets to around 15psi at 145km and it still pulling but egt

I've just fitted a K-27 truck turbo of a twin turbo 14.7L merc engine on my
1hz 80 series. I have set it up with a boost & ECG gauge. I when i 1st took
it for a drive it was not boosting at all then i relised i had to tweak not I'm
getting good boost not 2nd gear up can all push 10psi ...

I suppose i could just go 2 inch i wanna fit 35" tyres i got 33s now. i have a 2" body lift sitting here but there is a lot of hastel in doing a body lift thats why im trying to opt not to do it, i guess possibly even just a 3inch lift would be good. any other suggestions would be ...

I am wanting to do a 4inch lift to my cruiser done some research and the cheapest i can find seems to be the ironman kit for around 1200 plus then brake line extensions and castor plates, is there any other suspention cheaper or better for same price. Thanks Wade

yeh this turbo is brand new, ill email them see if i can get a flow chart but for 450 bucks all up is a pettey good deal considdering some of the kits in aus are 3 grand plus and this comes with intercooler as well.

Im looking at running about 10psi i got no idea what sort of power gain that will give me hoping around 140kw but not sure it will get there.

I do not have a power chart do you think this will work.

bruns wick is a good idea although it will set you back about 22 grand which is a lot of money for what they are.

iv got the diff center out just wondering how to retention the collapsible
spacer. if that is the prob looks like the pinon and crown wheel have play

Without a lift you will get a lot of scub with 35" tyres,
you may even get a litte bit offroad with 33" but without
a lift 33" would be the way to go.

Hey all i got a 80 series cruiser and atm i have 33" - 12.5" coper st tire's
on it and im wanting to put mickey tompson baja claws on it, 35" - 12.5"
i have a 2" lift in it and will also have a 2" body lift before this is done, will
the tires fit no worrys at all and is it a good tire upgrade to ...

I think i worked out how to do the lift one other thing tho,
just wondering how to lift a arb deluxe winch bar, the best way because
it slots stright over the chassi so not sure how to do this thanks
