have a look around the steering box for cracks in the chassis, not too big a drama to fix if there is. Rust up where the front gaurds bolt onto the body. Pretty bulletproof if they have been reasonably well looked after.

fitted a Marks kit to our 80 (only because kit came with it when we bought it). To be honest unless you are worried about front diff wear and tear (unlikely) save your funds and dont bother with it. The only difference with ours was a very slight reduction in driveline shunt when you lift the foot o...

Running some Gas spec leads from ICE Ignition in Melb on my duel fuel Falcon. Rang him and paid over the phone at 4pm and they arrived in the post the next day, no idea how he managed that. Great service and he offered 300,000 k warranty on them, boots are easy to get off as well. Definately worth s...

1HDT oil filters genuine or ryco etc?

Are the genuine ones any different/better than equivalent Ryco etc? What sort of price do they generally cost for a genuine one, Ryco ones here are around $26

A winchoff would be a good idea for comparison. But really comparing a 12000lb Tigerz with plasma that costs $725 with a 12000lb Warn that with plasma would be over $2500 really isnt apples with apples. Even a similarly equipped 9000lb Warn would be worth around $2000. Anyone expecting to get the sa...
