That is an 88 F20 bonnet and apron with the ute's guards and inner guards it all bolted no mods needed.

Yes the panels interchange however the inner guards are different between the early and late moddle the mounts on the fire wall are are different that are dimensionally the same though.

No you just undo the bolts on the out side and pull it off I think I left the stick on and just removed the ball
I changed mine in about 45min

Not sure bout the TD42 ratio but I put 4.6 gears in my 4.2 petrol auto and it's awsome whith the 34's now get's better fule economy to went from 350,375 a tank to 465 :armsup: I'dd say definatly get gears got mine from BBM
