Shuddering vibration on light throttle

I have a 1997 FZJ80 Series automatic LandCruiser with 300,000 kilometers on it. I have just had the valve shims done and the injectors cleaned, new plugs and air filter. I recently had the old vapor LPG system changed to a vapor sequentially injected LPG system. The performance difference is remarka...

Torquey camshafts

I have a 1997 Landcruiser FZJ80 series 1FZ-FE petrol/LPG towing a 2500kg caravan. I want more torque from it, from 1800-2800 RPM. Does anyone know who would make a camshaft that will improve my low down torque?

Regards,
Alan.

Part time conversions

One thing that seems to be missed in all these discussions is the legality of converting a factory full time 4wd to a part time. If the vehicle left the factory with full time 4wd it is illegal to alter it in any way without an engineers certificate and compliance plate. If you have an accident with...

Torque converter lockup

Anyone had experience modifying their torque converter to manual lockup? I have a 1997 80 series 1FZ-FE, A440F auto and I would like to know which wire, what colour, where it's located etc. I have a relay schematic ready to go I just need to know what wire to tap into. Anyone done this?
Cheers,
Alan.
