The front diff is a high pinion, which is stronger than the low pinion leafy diff, but unfortunately there are no lockers available for the front end.... only rear.




I know a few people with airlocke sj80 fronts. They use a modified Jimny airlocker and don't know that the hi pinion front is ...

leafy gear driven case will bolt straight in using the mounts for the leafy and the leafy jack shaft. and you can get crawler gears to sui what ever you want to drive.

and the transfer handbreak will bolt on the back of the wide track leafy case. thats the setup i have because the diff is to close ...

mine has been luxed and on 33's with twin lockers for 2 years

ive only broke one cv. thou i guess that was due to the owner of the diffs before me. and ive also smashed a transfer.

other than that it doesnt break.

if you have to go body lift just go for 2 inches. even better cut or find some other way to fit rubber.

my 33 mtrs i run at 5 psi on rocks all the time

never had the tyre come off the bead

even when wanted it to come of fthe bead it wouldnt...

doesnt affect anything while the hubs are unlocked

dont know if its leagle or not

but i would weld it anyways they are never going to know its welded and it would never matter provided the hubs are unlocked
