Hey nah just the flange part that you bolt the CV assembly too. Mine is australian 4runner so no ADD for me. I took it apart and i did the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion apparently pretty common for this diff.

Hey it seems like i have blown the front diff on my 4runner, not sure it its crown wheel or spider gear, (havnt taken it out yet).
Looking for someone on the gold coast thats good with diffs / reasonably priced that could either put new ring gear or upgrade to locker if its the spider gear.

It Seems that the Cv is fine along with the locking hub, however the half axle on the diff has a lot of movement and skips about a quarter of a turn in one position. Likely causes ... possible fixes :S Is it more likely to be a ring gear or one of the spider gears cause it only seemed to be ...

Yea, CT20 (Surf turbo) is the easiest way to go as it all just bolts up, tho as beinthemud said it does have it's limits and does start to run out of puff getting up in the revs.

Hey thanks for that guys. I pulled the brake appart today and the casings and stuff seem to be in pretty good Nick so that sounds heaps more reasonable to rebuild I'll give them a call tomorrow and see how I go :-)

10 ton snatch strap, solid object and heavy right foot
