G'day, I'm looking at upgrading from an ageing Import Nissan Safari to a HDJ78 with IHDT-FTE. However ive discovered that they are only rated at 122kw where the the HDJ100 with the same engine is rated at 151kw. Can anyone tell me what is required to get the power level anywhere near the 100 series ...

Nah the excise applies, homebrewers are supposed to remit excise to the ATO on what they produce for their own consumption. I doubt anyone processing it for themselves actually would, but thats the legality of it.

I looked into it seriously last year when diesel was $1.50+/L, did hours and hours of reading, browsing websites. Got to the point where i got a few empty drums from work to build a system, and started to collect the equipment, found a supplier of methanol. collected and filtered about 60L of vege o...

Ive been interested in this idea too.

The series 2 grills are more modern looking, and incorporate the small nissan logo not the huge NISSAN one.

I would freshen up the front of mine if all it took was swapping indicators over aswell.

The PTO's have 2 sheer pins, one near the PTO box end and one near the winch end. Remove and slightly drill out the shaft (by 1-2mm) at the PTO box end, fit a high tensile cap screw or bolt BUT you MUST trim it too length so it doesn't catch on anything when the pto shaft is engaged or turning. Tha...

PTO problem

Gday, The PTO on my import Safari no longer free spools. It did when i first used it. Now it doesnt matter whether the winch hub in on free or locked, it will winch in and out under power locked or not? I have checked the oil levels in the gear section and they are fine. What could be wrong with the...
