I hate to say it but this is the reason that I bought the 5.12 diffs from Mark instead of going S3's there just seems to be too any failures at the moment to have $1200-1300 going down the drain. If I need more reduction I can always go the 1lt transfer or some Calmini gears. On a side not I also ...

Yes you will have boost at highway speeds. At 100km you should be pulling around 3800rpm depending on gearing the supercharger will still be making good boost at that RPM

You have two scales of measure the first is absolute - this is where you say that atmospheic pressure is 14.7 and anything about that is boost. The other is guage which assumes that atmospheric is 0 psi. The only difference is that you have to add 14.7 psi to the guage reading to get the absolute ...

Also remember that because the engine is a 4 stroke that the intake is only once every 2 revolutions hence the 1300cc will only realy be 650cc per revolution this is why the subi charger works. Now just as a point of reference from the information that I have the subi charger is an AMR 300 which ...

Ok a couple of things. Never run the LPG in front of the turbo if you have an intercooler as there is a chance that it could turn into a BBB (Bloody Big Bomb) the second thing is that you should have a convertor that changes the liquid to gas and heats it with your engine coolant. This is done so ...

It would be easy to rig up though just use an LPG cut off valve in conjuntion with a boost switch so that the gas is only flowing when the engine is on boost.

the other this to be carefull of is that rotary engines have a mutliplication factor of 2 when working out capacity ie. your 1.3 lt roarty engine equates to a 2.6 piston engine.

Christover1, I can only vouch for the setup that I have in mine. The way that I worked it out to start with was to just pull the springs out all together and that way you can see what happens. To answer your question from what I can tell it reduced the pressure to the rear brakes. Paul

Sean, You are right....it has been a budget build so far and being the tight arse that I am I am having trouble parting will over $1000 for gear that I know I really need. I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and do it. It would certainly help if I could sell that bloddy Triton though Paul

If you have a look at the photo that I posted. All you do is undo the brake line and then unscrew the larger nut looking thing. It is hollow inside and the spring and the plunger sit inside that. It takes about 5 mins to pull it aparts. 2 mins to cut the springs and 5min to put it back together. you ...

If you cut the springs in half like I did you will not have a problem with brake proportioning. Just for it up and then let the engineer take it for a drive. That is all I did. My engineer drove it before and after and coupldn't believe the difference.

Bruce, Have you had anything to do with the ISO free 2 pack paints? They have them at supercheap 4l for $150 or there abouts. I totally agree with what you are saying about the acrylic though I had to do 5 coats on my zook and there are still places in certain light that look a little patchy. Paul

I will take a digital photo of it this afternoon when I get home from work and have a look in the manual and it should make sense then.

There are a couple of diffrent setups for the brake system depending on the year and type ie SWB or LWB I believe.

Nope that isn't it. That one is the load proportioning valve that adjusts for weight in the back. I think that they are only on LWB. The one that I modified is bolted to the chassis rail right nect to the fire wall on the drivers side. It should have 6 pipes coming into it. 2 from the master ...

I would be interested in buying the S3 off you if you want to get a set of these other gears as I have just rebuilt my transfer. How does $800 sound will keep the change over cost about the same if you take into account the rebuild kit.

Yeah very happy with the front bar changes. Looks much better now that it sits out from the body with the chassis extention. When I first put it on it was sitting a fraction too low so we fixed that when we made the new mounts.

Hilux Springs in the rear

Ok guys, I have got a set of rear hilux spings sitting at home and I had a look at them. If I fit them up they should move the rear diff back about 7-8 inches from the look of it. I will use a 3/4 setup at the rear because the chasiss just isn't long enough. my question is Has anyone run these ...
