im currently assisting a mate out in a conversion 2jz into a 94 hilux (loves turbos)

im looking into doing a 5l conversion on my 80 and im curious about what the differences are between the 60series 5sp and the early 80 series 5sp
it would be good if they are the same bolt patten as then i can get a bellhousing cheap, and is the 40 series 4sp different again?

ive just got a 90 mod dx petrol 80 and i was thinking of what would be a good option for it it has a new 5 speed and heavy duty clutch so what would be a good donk to adapt to that

but again for the like minded as myself , it cost me 4k roughly to do my front end properly with a 60 series diff and it will end up being around the 2 mark for the rear after its finished and ticked off in the engineers book what i cant see is why cant i put a surf tank where the hilux tank goes , ...

its really the difference between a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke , if you plan on running a huge turbo on a 3rz it will be un usable i think , thats why im getting rid of my 3rz

a lot of people just wind the taution bars up a bittle bit , my nahbour did this and put 31 bf's on and it looks heaps better and he has done over 100.000kms without a problem

neally everything , im no landcruiser man but a can tell ya there wider weaker , have bigger brakes so they wont take a 15" rim and they changed the stud pattern to a 5 stud
i think the center is simular though
