i,ve got a 500 x 350 x75mm cooler mounted in my arb front bar and it works a treat .it was originally a 2.8 diesel but is still adequate for the 350hp ijz that is in it now. cheers darin

i,ve done a few of these and had no probs so long as the housing is done in a jig and the axle is shortened on the hat end . resplining is not very effective. i don,t know who does it up there and usually the people who do think they are rocket scientists and charge an arm and a leg. cheers darin

the are a grouse rod and you can even weld cast with the right technique but a bit expensive . when you are drilling spring steel or stainless just remember slow speed high feed. cheers darin

mate i used to have a 3" exhaust on my 2.8 turbo hilux with a fabricated stainless muffler similar in design to a gun silencer and it sounded a lot better than not running one at all but when i fitted a 1jzgte it needed 1 more and it sounds sweet at 7500rpm. cheers darin

been a bm/w for 30 yrs , use argon for the tig but only use it on the mig when you are welding aluminium. you will get a rank weld using argon on the mig ,welding mild steel. it sucks i know but you will need 2 bottles . cheers darin

detroit lockers
hey mate i,ve got a 96 dual cab hilux with genuine detroit lockers front and rear and it drives like normal but in 4x4 with the hubs in it is very hard to steer. but its fine when driving slow . with a turbo 1jzgte fitted it makes for a real fun ride. cheers darin
