So i've contacted CRS and Marks regarding what i need.
CRS tell me that i need a bell housing, engine mounts and sump $1,200ish
Marks tell me i need:
bell housing $970.00
Engine Mount $190.00
Flywheel $330.00
Heavy duty clutch $370.00
Clutch master cylinder & adaptor kit $125.00
VN, VP, and VR engine interface loom diesel models $485.00
Hall effect VSS to suit cable driven speedometers $345.00
Complete Fuel and bracket kit $475.00
Surge Tank and Electronic Fuel Pump Kit $310.00
Engine cooling kit (Engine Driven $465.00
3 core heavy-duty radiator $690.00

you will need most of the stuff from marks list whichever way you go, try the rodshop in castlemain, vic.
if you are in victoria you will need a 1996+ motor for engeneering

I have done 2 of these now. 1 auto th700 & a manual with a heavy duty marks gear box. As for crs stay away. Marks gear is the best. If you put it on a standard gearbox you will blow third gear out of it unless you drive it like a total sisy. Use the marks box but its 2500 bucks or use a th700 that will save a bit coin & still be reliable. As for the price of doing the job mine cost about 6 grand doing it myself with the auto & i built the auto myself. You need to buy the adaptor kit the wiring kit is very good but it can be done if you have complete doner vehical. Have a look at efi hilux fuel tanks so you c an use a intank fuel pump with a swirl pot. The speed sensor kit is good for fuel economy in my opion its a must. After its al done good luck with vibration in take off espessily if you have big tyres. its the diff trying to roll around on itself you will need to strengthen therear diff spring mounts cos they will break the welds

Good pointg on the rear diff, have a front diff here that is 1/4 way through being strengthened, might have to do a rear as well.

wise move....iv been out with a few commo v6 hiluxs on the tracks and find my 3rz alot more driveable, no overheating probs, and best of all dont sound like a vn commodore burning up the tracks lol
