with it being ifs you wouldnt get more than 2 inches suspension lift, even with the torsion bars wound out. The 2.4 was pretty underpowered for a 4runner (about 78kw i think) so make sure you can put up with the lack of power. to fit 33's you'd need a couple of inches body lift as well but wouldnt ...

Hey mate.
The tensioner arm should definately NOT move when you try to move it. I have a 3vz-e 4runner and its a locknut on the tensioner to the lock in specific tension (tension tension phew). I cant specifically remember but I vaguely remember a spring being visable.

hey 4runa, I own a 91 sr5 ltd v6 few comments that may help ya: - notoriously thirsty engines (20L/100km around town is not uncommon) i average 17L/100km with moderate driving. - ifs is only a hampering for serious 4wd work, apart from that it makes the ride very good. - offroad ability is excellent ...
