yeah cheers mate i found that site already and asking around. but apparantly here in brisbane qmr have bellhousing adaptors to suit the 5 speed but i havent heard of it being done yet to any one i know???

Not sure on the current price of a 12ht but $4000 for that many kays seems to me a tad high (although they will go for a lot longer than that) depends on its service life, but you wouldnt want to have to rebuild the turbo or diesel pump and keep to your $5000 limit. I would think it would fit ...

does anyone know if the 12ht will fit to my manual box or will i have to put the whole engine and auto in aswell? the engine has 350,000 and can get it for 4000 is this a good price? what should i be looking for when i test drive it??

If Qld Transport allow it and you have the ability to do it I would go the 80 series chassis with the 75 cab on it. Pretty sure it has been done with good results before and in the end you will have a good motor with coil suspension. Big job though. try the search, you may find who has done it ...
