Crank sensor failure after timing belt change
My mechanic had my Triton for two days whilst he did a timing belt change. When I picked it up late in the afternoon I drove it straight home which is a 10 minute drive at best. I didn't notice any problems with it's performance. Early the next day I went to start her up with no luck. She was trying ...

Fresh to re-cycle switch is not working on my 1998 100 series gxl. Does anyone know of a manual way to shut the vents to re-cycle only to save the expense of having the switch etc replaced??

Tyre Size for Triton
Can a anyone confirm if 31x10.5x15 tyres will fit a a mk triton with a 2 inch lift? I'm currently running 235/70/16's and I'm finding the need for a bigger foot print. Cheers.

Re: Ciggie Plug Help
Thanx for the help guys. I'm pretty bloody hopeless with this sort of stuff so I ended up running a thicker gauge wire and the problem seems to be fixed!
Thanx again.
Thanx again.

Winch compatible bullbar?
My Triton has a steel bullbar fitted to it which has been on there since I brought it. Behind the number plate is a slot cut out for the winch face, and behind the driving lights is a circular hole which I'm assuming is for the winch control box. There are no other brackets inside the bullbar and ...

Ciggie Plug Help
Ive installed an in cab dual cig plug direct from my aux battery. I had to run the power cables across the inside of the engine bay and through the firewall on the driver's side. They then run to the plug which is located in the center of the cab near the handbrake. The problem I'm having is that ...

Tyre Size Question?
Can anyone tell me what the largest tyre size would be that I could fit under my MK triton with a two inch lift? I currently have 235/70/16's and there seems to be still a bit or room left to play with.
Cheers,

Rattle in A/C?
Ive got this annoying rattle in the triton's air con. I tracked it down and it seems to be coming from the evaporator area. I've got in there the best I could and I cant see anything stuck or loose in there that might be causing it. The funny thing is that the rattle stops when the a/c is turned on ...

Rattling A/C
Ok, this one is a little hard to describe so let me know if you need anymore info. The Air Con on the triton has a very annoying rattle in it while it isnt on. Once I turn it on, then it goes all quiet. I pulled apart what I could to see if there was anything lodged in there, but didnt find anything ...

Handbrake Warning Light
I've been noticing over the last week or two that the brake warning light (the one on the dash) stays on once the hand brake is released on my triton. The brake fluid level is fine and both the handbrake and the normal brakes are working fine. Ive changed all the pads less than 10,000kms ago. I've ...

Triton Speakers??
Am I the only one with 2 front speakers under the dash and nothing else??
There's spaces for speakers in both the front and rear doors (dual cab) but no actual speakers in there. Is this normal or did the previous owner do an excellant job of removing them?

The oil I used in my gearbox was Valvoline Synthetic Blend DuraGear. SAE 75w-85. API GL-4. A four litre container was about 38bux from memory. The Nulon Manual Gearbox and Diff Treatment comes in a white tube and should be pretty easy to spot. Try supercheap autos if your having trouble finding them ...

2000 Triton 100thou service
I just picked up my Trtion V6 3.0 and so far Im very impressed with it. Coming from previously driving a Daihatsu Feroza I'm having a ball with all the extra space and power. :) I've got it booked in next week to get the timing belt done as it's just gone over 101,000. Im just wondering if there's ...

Well the time has finally come for me to sell the fez and buy something else. Ive been thinking of getting a triton but I havent heard much about them. Its going to be a work vehicle so it needs to be dual cab with a steel tray. It wont see much heavy 4wding but it will see the occasional dirt road ...

Ok. I've found and cleaned a few earths. I found the one near the rear blinkers to the chasis, the one from the batt to the chassis, and one from the chasis to the engine block. Inside I could only see one going from the dash area to the firewall. Not sure how many earths there are spose to be but ...
