I'm after a wiper headlight combination switch for an 83/84 rocky?
Let me know if you have one cheap
Also a steering wheel boss to suit the same one?
cheers,
Brock..
Hey guys, my apologies for being a slackass here, some other priorities have taken my time the last 6 months.. :( Anyway, have done some on her, stripped the engine loom, pulled out all unneccesary wires, had the Vats taken out of the pcm, plugged the bare loom up and gave it a test run to check ...
Sorry guys, Budget had the arse fall out of it, Done a few little things, ran all the brake lines, rear one goes thru the inside of the cab, stripped the engine wiring loom ready for the pcm, built the auto myself, full manualised th400, and assembled onto the transfer case ready to go in once I get ...
Still chipping away at her, have built the gearbox, manualised th400,
All bolted up to the adapter, waiting on a torque converter and it'll be ready to bolt up.
I was going to get some front arms made from 25mm bisalloy plate, but the guy shut his business, also the weight of them was a bit of a turn off. these are 38mmx 3.5mm rollcage tube, one grade down from chromoly, light and i could make them myself for pretty cheap, My other thought was ...
Have finished all the fab work on the chassis and diffs
Shaved and strenghted both diffs
wire brushed and painted the chassis and diffs
Started on the engine wiring
Will get the gearbox built
then can do tailshafts, body back on, then all the small things.
Photos soon
Is it possible to brace it? I have braced mine to the other side of the chassis in a GQ. I know from competing in outback challenges years ago this is what everyone was doing or they did tear the chassis apart. If its braced i don't think you need the bolt on nissan strengthening brace.
I have yes, changed the crossmember to a patrol one. Have the front diff located under, panhard and steering box mounted. In the middle of doing the coilover hoops.
I'll get some pics up once the hoops are done.
Got the engine dummied in with a t400 shell. Did a test fit, all godd, the transfer hits a bit on the tunnel, no big deal. also put the front cross member in front of the front tailshaft flange...DICKHEAD.... anyway, easy fixed, lol, i'll leave it off until the front diff and shaft are in so i get ...
Old engine is out, making some mounts for the ls1, Should fit no worries, the new front axle will be moved forward about 6 inches, more for stability and to improve the wieght distribution an the approach angle then issues with the motor in the way ...
And picked up the front diff the other day, a gq leaf sprung diff, narrower than a coily, the coil front would have had the brake discs just outside the guards, lol.
Just need a turbo 400 auto now, and a early patfhinder rear diff.
Hey, yeah, does anyone have one they can measure for me?
I'ts the drive shaft that goes right though the middle, and is supported at one end by the brass bush in the dog clutch end, Thinking it was about 35 to 40mm Just want an idea to guage how big a shaft i need for a winch I'm building ...
Yeah, not getting it engineered. Rang a few ccda scruiteneers and asked about it. Said as long as its registered its ok. I know the rules state any mods need to be approved with the roads authority ect...
So, Hopefully it gets a rwc and I'll register it before i start modding it. It will rarely be ...
