Re: early 2000 cab on mid 80s chassis
I assumed the same. I've got an awesome 85 extracab setup but 2 seats are no good when you've got kids. My thinking is a dual cab conversion on my chassis with an early 2000 cab with saf would look sweet. Might have to do a research and measure at the wreckers. But surely someone has tried it?

How many litres does the crs sump hold? Is it an off the shelf unit or do they make it to your measurements?

I agree with you there, it was on the dyno to check fuel mixture, how far out the speedometer was and visual on a tailshaft. Ran it while it was there out of curiosity.

Hey lads, I'm about to start modifying my crown centre sump to clear the diff pumpkin on my yn67. If any of you guys have some photos or input as to what others have done it would be a great help. I've been of the thinking that a full rear bowl sump would be best as going up a dune or steep incline ...

I think the manual ones were 33 teeth and auto 31. W58 and r150 were the same but its toyota, the next box could be different.

Good news, not only did I find a cable speedo drive for an r150f I found 3. Turns out w58 and some early surfs have them. Also found auto and manual units differ by 2 teeth.

Electronic speed sensor to cable for R150f?
Hey lads, i've looked around and can't seem to find a cable speedo drive to replace the electronic one found in the Rv6 4 runner R150f 5 speed. I'd like to do this in order to keep my dash standard as it is a gen 2 lux. Any idea's or parts that will fit to suit would be great to hear about.

Re: Radiator for 1uzfe to lux
That was another thing i was thinking about is an oil cooler. And also a fairly wide opening bonnet scoop directly over the motor to push air over the back and down past the motor. Most weekend wheeling for me is sand so cooling is a high prioty. I'm not to keen on alloy as i've seen way to many ...

Radiator for 1uzfe to lux
Hey guys, has anyone done it or think it would be the go if i ran a 75 series 4 row radiator for my 1uzfe conversion? It is the same width as the standard one but a bit taller which measures up like it would fit because i have 2'' cab lift. 4 row seems like overkill but if it keeps them old diesels ...

Just throwing the tape measure round the engine bay with the pre fab mounts i have bought it seems as though the gearbox needs to go up 2'' in hight. I 'd really appreciate some pics if anyone has any of there set ups.

1uzfe 5spd into lux gearbox mounting?
G'day lads, i'm currently in the middle of my 1uzfe crown engine conversion into an 85 lux. Looking at how the r150 v6 4runner 5spd sits in there to it's original cross member which is bolted to the original chassis mounts, it seems to far forward . Which is ok, easy to move that. But it also seems ...

Hey bud, i too am about to start my conversion on my 85 xtra cab lux.
I had the same dilemma as you with auto or manual.
I eventually decided by the fact the auto is another electrical part to fail as well as over heating the auto too. And you cant clutch start one either.

Oh ok then, it's a start. The lad that has this box says it was a 2.4 turbo diesel, but thats all he can tell me. Are the boxes serial stamp or something that tells you what exact trans it is or just a case of turn the shaft and compare ratios?

Does any one know what exact gearbox came behind the 2l te in a 91 surf?
looking at buying one for a 1uzfe manual conversion in a lux.
Would like to know so as to compare ratios and see if it suits, any help would be great.

yeah i,ve got a ball bearing t28 on 14 psi. At the moment it is set up with a lot taller gearing than standard and it spools faily early. Around 1500-2000. the car weighs around 1350 kgs and ran less than 2 sec 60 ft times, which means it pisses off in a hurry. The gearing in the lux with 33's would ...
