This is a very long winded topic for such a simple Q
I gather from what u are trying to say is that u have a double acting, single ended ram( just like 99.9% of the rams u see on everthing) as aposed to a double acting, double ended ram (which u see on fancy buggys steering)

keep up the good work people,
there is some guys in here who have some idea on this, but others i think just like to see their own typing, those people should stick to dress making, hydraulics is very dangerous stuff,
screwy knows what has to be done to fix this problem properly,

Drilling out the relief valve does nothing to assist flow....until you drill it out 0.5mm too far and then the pump starts to cavitate. Once this happens, you get heaps of flow but you can't sustain a cavitating power steer system. This leads me to believing that the flow restriction comes from the ...

I used to use a 2"bore with 3/4" shaft. I did experience some lag when trying to turn at speed. It was fine with general street driving but I used to notice it most in carparks :roll:
did y drill the orifice out in the pump to give u more flow?.

the best cylinder for the application would be a ag cylinder,
PTE make a good but cheap cylinder, and come in all diff strokes makin it more versitile,

Some hole saws are better than others. We always use a cutting compound (trefolux (sp?)).

this is why trefolex was taken off the market... it makes bad stuff to breath when you use it with machiene tools... its only designed for using by hand

You can also buy a product called W strap its designed for cattle and sheep yard fencing cheap and strong about $30 for 6mt lenght and just put some 1'' rhs around it for the frame ____/\___/\___ looks like this but some have a rolled edge :idea: :idea: :)

anyone know if the drop sides for flat bed trays, are an off the shelf item, or are they just custom jobs.
i was wondering if anyone had the length for a dual cab lux tray(drop side style).
