Right I have been where you were for years... The 2H into the 40 is a good thing. I would rather see money go into it, than the v8. I ran one for years with 4.88s and 36 simex and it was a walk in the park. I know it lacks in super top end power, but in 80% of situations it didn't need it. All the ...

Re: Gq swaying
Sounds like the rear bushes are worn out. Easy check is to power on and off, and if the car swings to when you power, and then throws when you back off, then the bushes are gone (assuming you dont have a 8inch lift or an A frame in the rear). All bushes can be gathered through Niz bits and he is the ...

SWB will always win. You take the rear seats out, put in a cargo barrier and a fridge. They are by far the best, and I will own nothing less.

not worth trying to replace/mod the system, as it works. Clean the lines, replace the rubbers and fit a Mac valve and use it. Its a great thing.

Re: Auto GQ box probs!
when they slip, they are normally stuffed. Bands are pretty strong, its normally the torque converter over drive/lock up that gives up the ghost. which gear is slipping? Full rebuild was going to be too expensive (wouldn't expect any change out of $4000+), and we also found that a good manual ...

Re: Diesel Bleeding Screw - BJ40
Mine was very hard to screw back down, once its is primed, I had to back off the bleed nipple, and tighten it down, and then do the bleed nipple back up. it took a number of goes to get it to tighten up.
might be worth having another go at it, as i'm yet to hear of one stripping its thread.

its cheap, any which way you look at it from a parts point of view.
