Also can any one tell me if there is ment to be a spacer on the axel between the cv and housing on a maxi drive axel ? I see in the work shop manual it shows one and in this old standard Diff i have laying around it has one. I'm wondering if there should be one to stop the axel going all the way ...

Cheers for the info uninformed,very helpfull. Yes my future plans are patrol front and 80 rear as the vehicle is my winch challenge truck. Hi all. I need some schooling on cv joints in my rangie. it has a maxi drive locka in the front with maxi drive axels to the cv. the cv is 23 spline in (i think) and 10 spline out to the stubs. is this a after market cv or a standard unit ? is having the 10 spline stubs the weak link so that it dont ...

24v alternator info
Hi im after some info or even a wiring digram on how to hook up a 24v alternator on my comp truck. i know how to wire the batterys but not sure about the rest of the wiring. does it need a turn on wire ? any help would be great.

thanks for the diagram. im most likely only going to use 2 batterys. just wondering how are you triggering your alternator to start charging ? i was going to run a wire from the batterys,through a switch in the cab and then to the alternator and just turn it on when the engine is running. think this ...

Not very often although I haven't really had a chance to give it a good run due to finishing of the build up. Just have to wait and see what it does I spose then pull the heads and see what I'm dealing with.

hi mate. yeah the water goes away as soon as the engine has started and warms the exhauste and yes its only black coloured,no green coolant. the motor starts up fine and does not miss or run ruff. if you let it sit for 20min and start it you will sometimes get a little bit come out again but not as ...

Hey mate just wondering how you drilled yours. Ive had mine in the lathe and used numerous types of drill bits and cant make a dint in mine just keeps takeing the edge of the bits.

Winch rope
Hi guys. I'm Looking at getting some rope for my high mount for comp work, it has a standard length drum but with a smaller centre pipe and is pulling a uted range rover. Just wondering what brand are people using, what size and length and were is the best place to get it from ?

Yeah I know but I was hoping to do some of the wtc comps and that nav comp at manar park, but the mine has changed my roster and I won't be home for them so low mead is the only one I can do. Oh righto I get ya. I found a hella brand isolator on eBay that has the large and small terminals,so I will have to track one of these down. Thanks for all your help. Hopefully I get it sorted for low mead 3 car. Just gotta get crazy to build my winch for me.

Sorry for all the questions. So with the ignition feed ( mines a petrol ) do I put the switch on the power feed or to a earth feed ? And the isolator I got has the two large poles only. Do I use it or do I need another switch.

Yeah the welding shop did it. Looks pritty good. With the isolotor do you put it in the neg cable and what sort and size isolator do you use ? I can get hold of 24v ones used on trucks.
