My old man just had a turbo fitted to his 100 series at united fuel injection. now my old man is a fussy bugger, and the report he gave about their service was great. thats who i would be dealing with.

you can just turn the motor around to place the drain holes at the bottom, will be about 10-12 socket head cap screws and then just lift slightly and turn to suit, line the holes up again and replace the screws. this is how i did my warn anyway!!!

help with a fuel tank sender prob,

have built a l/range tank for my td42 gq, the only sender i could get has a different range to the standard gq sender, works the same way, ie higher resistance when empty.

can i change the resistance by putting a resistor in-line in the main wire to get it to show on the gauge?????

does anyone know of a higher output unit that will fit???? with the winch and lights, as well as all the other gear, wanna make sure i have plenty of current flowing when i need it to be!!!

gq,

prolly the easy way to go is to speak to licensing division at dept of transport. use to be a guy there called reno marchesi, was the boss of approvals etc,so would be able to fill you in on whats required.

yeah mate i'm running a commodore v6 with the turbo 700 mated to the transfer via a matts adapter. it was in my 1980 single cab, but it has all been removed and is being transplanted to an 83 dual cab, need more room, plus old one was fulla rust, body and chassis ...

yeah, decided against it in the end, cut the front hangers off sarvo, going to drop it by bout 2 1/2 to 3 " then put another inch in the shackles,

gotta go raid the wreckers morrow, to get some ...

will have a bit more of a look at it and see which way will be better, lot easier to change spring mounts round, than to f**k round rotating knuckles etc. would provide more room for crossover steering too.

most of the forties that rockhop are still set up as front shackle from ...

guys

my old lux (80 single cab 18R) has 4.1:1 ratios in it. I've wrecked another two since that for parts and they had the same. keep getting told that they are rare as rocking horse poo, but every lux i've found has em.

front spring question

guys,

has anyone ever tried reversing the front spring mounts. ie mounting the shackle at the front and moving the spring eye to the rear. basically turning the suspension around to be same as 40 series.

was looking at the setup on the chassis, and was thinking i could kill two birds with ...

g'day guys,

just joined the forum, and i'm chasing some info on removing the torque rod from my 83 lux. what efffect will this have on handling, etc. want to remove so i can get some more flex and want to fit crossover steering also. TIA
