The same happened to me - after a service the mechanic hasn't done up the crank bolt enough and the harmonic balancer has ridden forward and probably chewed off the locating dowel on the cam belt cog (not catastrophic). If you're lucky you'll be able to tighten it up, put the car in 4th gear ...

I'll be waiting the Rubicon 4door is about $52000 drivaway
I drove a diesel manual unlimited (non rubicon) today and it was very cool - best handling 4wd with live axels front and rear that you could drive
Can't wait now

Nigel,
Probably the only thing with the 3.5ls is the valve stem seals are a mongrel to change and they'll probably need changing (common fault- smoke at idle).
you'll probably get 12-15l per 100k on 31's

I highly regard the BFG A/T's
57000k on them, probably 20000k to go, no flats - excellent traction (for an AT) and will run happily all day at 15PSI in the soft stuff
But then again an opinion is an opinion

Yeah thanks mate, I got one of those - won't fit, there's not enough clearance around the valve springs - with 4 valves per cyl there's only 1mm between the spring and the head casting itself...,
There must be another tool or some thing

Smoke is embarrassing, especially at the lights and at a drive through – I seem to have to top up the oil constantly (compression is good)
Constant smoke at idle after a few minutes parked and a big cloud when you take off then disappears as revs climb

That part of it I'm fine on ...

as the subject says what tool do I need to compress the valve spring in my 6g74 engine so I can change the valve stem seals (in car without removing the heads)?
I've tried the little finger type to no avail
I 've heard that i need one that bolts onto the cam journals or something

New or recore radiator - that's the go
priciey I know but cheaper than cooking the donk
once it's right you can get back to abusing the terrain as God intended
the fastest way to stuff up a good engine is to not maintain the cooling system.

I would love the 3.15's but would not be able to perform the mods as you describe. Would either of you guys be prepared to fit them into a T/c and then send it over here for me to install

Can you get ISC motors and O2 sensors for 6g74 aftermarket?
