Re: 500kg car trailer to carry 2000kg

from what i was told by the gooseneck shop near me the capacity for your car is

GVM minus TARE weight = fugure X

figure X plus your tow rating = gooseneck rating.

Also remember the more you load onto the tray on in the back of the tow car it reduces the towing capacity.

Reset the ECU, turn ignition off, remove key. Disconnect battery negative terminal for a few minutes. Reconnect and you're done.

Code reading, download the manual for your vehicle off the net. Think I got it last time on Suzuki info.com

I've had cars with Hilux diffs, 60 series diffs, MQ diffs and stock zook diffs.

The built zook diffs have much more clearance than the others but do not ...

I see no benefit it leaving the Vit` transfercase there and adapting the sierra case onto it. Just get rid the the Vit` case altogether, go from 4sp auto straight the sierra transfercase 6.4/1 TTs. Thats it. Imagine that ,4sp auto lever, Vitara transfercase lever, sierra twin stiks, then rear ...

I could be wrong but if you do i'm thinking this will be a major air flow restriction point so not sure how much gain you'd see in performance with either style of snorkel?

Body lift - what to do with the radiator

I've bought a GQ Patrol with a 2" body lift installed. The installer thought it would be OK to just take the lower section off the fan shroud to allow for the extra height.

Long story short is that I want to either correct the height of the radiator or the shroud. The best solution is to drop the ...

Having had zooks with zook diffs, MQ diffs, 60 series and back to zook diffs I can speak from a little expirence on this.

Stock Zook diffs, driven very carefully with sensible size tyres can be fine. More pedal, larger tyres and you'll bust stuff at very inconvienient times. With chromo axles you ...

Yes, there's a little valve that threads into the manifold that the MAP sensor takes its vaccum from. When bypassed it ran fine. So as originally thought was a MAP problem, just not the sensor itself.

Cheers for the responses guys. Next question is snorkel head forward (much the same as Struth's) or bent facing backward over the roof?

Being turbo there shouldn't be much of a difference??

What are yours worth Struth? Can you build one to go into the same hole as the Airtec/Safari Snorkel?

Grab yourself a compressor that comes with the musical air horns, lob it in your glovebox (theoretically a dry place). These are fairly high volume and low pressure.

Drive over guards are the way of the future. Keeps the weight that bit lower than having the deck above the wheels.

On a late model Chev/GMC we can command a manual regeneration with the Genuine Scan Tool. I'm sure if you went to a Ford dealer they would be able to do the same.
