its not for my hilux, im toying with the idea of droping one in a lotus 7 replica. the idea being halfcuts are about the same price as say an SR20 turbo (lots or rice factor) why not go alloy V8 :twisted:

its not crunching or anything, you just have to find 3rd and it slots in whereas before all gears were fairly loose and you could just throw in the general area of 3rd and it would go in. all are tighter, especally 5th and neutral is very loose compared to before.

comeon guys gotta buy the steel in an hour. as far as i can gather from the previous posts, every inch longer u make the shackle u get 1/2 an inch lift, and dropping the front shackle mount will give approx 2 inches of lift?? so a rear shackle 4 inches longer than standard??

got the truck back on friday, all fixed. yay. ended up just getting a standard clutch as there wasnt a heavy duty one on the coast wen i needed it. but for $82 (gotta love trade price) i can burn out 3 before i could buy a daikin. whole job ended up costing me $860 for all new bearings, seals, 4th ...

how hard would it be to engineer a 3/4 rear setup in qld or would it be impossible? i was also playing with a bolt on type setup idea that would allow normal shackle mount for road driving and 4 bolts to go wheeling. but do u need to remove the rear shackle mount for the springs to work properly??
