Re: ford ranger beeper/alarm
Easy mate. You just remove the cowl on top of the steering column and disconnect the white (I think) plug with two wires connected to it above the ignition barrel. 5 minute job.

Well I drive an '08 Mazda BT-50 dual cab manual and I'm ABSOLUTELY BLOODY THRILLED WITH IT. Towing capacity is 3000 Kg (Hilux, for example, is only 2200) and load carrying ability is 1.2 tonnes, that's a third more than Hilux. The rear suspension is a bit hard, but hey, it's a ute, right ? Can't ...

Coily transfer case chain
Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me where I could buy a transfer case chain for a 1998 coily sierra? I'd need to buyè it over the net and have the part sent to New Caledonia.
Otherwise, where can I find a reconditionned SJ70 widetrack transfer case with jackshaft ?
Thanks!

Wideaz, I thing Tough Dog make an adjustable panhard rod for the coily and Snake Racing might too. Snake Racing make castor corrected trailing arms as well with rubber bushes so you get plenty of flex from them. I reinforced the trailing arm mounts on the rear diff for mine as they started to tear ...

All six of the major dual cab utes sold today are made in Thailand. They include the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Holden Rodeo, Nissan Navara and Mazda BT-50. This said, I haven't had any more problems with mine since I last posted. Apparently, the gearbox issue on 4wdaction has ...

Yeah mate, tried the BT-50 off-road last weekend while hunting on a private property and I can say I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it made it look. What the Mazda's got over the Triton is the size of the suspension components, particularly the shocks which are twice as big as the Mitsubishi's ...

OK, some good news! Apparently the jumping out of gear problem must have been because the car was new and something in the gearbox was not working as it should because it hasn't done it again at all. The dealer was very good about it and would've done everything necessary to fix it, only it's gone ...

New BT-50 - Jumping out of gear
Hi everyone, I bought a new Mazda BT-50 TD yesterday. Today, I decided to try out low range for the first time on some hilly but reasonably smooth terrain. I was coming down a steepish hill in low first on engine braking when the gearbox lever jumped out of gear. I thought I may not have engaged ...

Well, I've had my big bore ARB compressor since January this year and have being using it to pump up at least 8 tyres after each 4WD outing (albeit small, not 33's or 35's) and I reckon it's great. Not long ago, I even pumped up a tractor tyre from flat to 20 PSI which took close to half an hour ...

Would you believe I've had a 1 litre T-case lying around at home for at least five years?  It's one with the handbrake drum on the end of the rear shaft and it also has the 4WD switch. Does that mean it'll fit easily? I dont need the drum so I've removed it but I suppose I'll have to ...

RIP Coily transfer case
Hi everyone, Have any of you coily owners had problems with the chain in the transfer case jumping teeth ? I can't even do a normal hill start anymore without a horrid crunching sound coming from the T-case. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated before I pull the thing apart! Thanks guys ...

Have you driven across a river or creek after a long downhill run recently? Did you see steam coming from the front discs as you hit the water? If the answer is YES, you discs are warped to shithouse, just like mine. If your wheel bearings are shot, it makes the vibration even worse, close ...

Wes, I'd check the coil. Sounds like an electrical problem. Try to swap it over with a mate's or something to test whether it makes a difference when the engine is cold. Also, check that you don't have any water in your fuel tank that could be causing havoc. When you drive through deep enough water ...

I hate having mine hard mounted. Ive tried mounting it in a number of different places and the pin/clevis mechanism thing & base plate all rattle around like a bitch. Almost like it needs to be wrapped in a towel & laid flat on the floor or something so it doesnt rattle, or like gwagensteve said ...
