Re: Hunting 12HT on startup
Mine does the same thing, I've heard it's quite a common thing with them, but I know they don't all do it. Someone once said to me it's something to do with some kind of a governor/diaphragm control that has worn. Nothing to be concerned about but I would love to have it fixed

Most front or rear mains leak. Dunk em in cold water, shut the engine off, water will go in

Re: a day spa for a car ie. car sat in mud for a few days
Alternatively if your car has ANY oil leaks at all then muds gonna get in pretty easy. At the very least dirty, gritty water, which is even worse. I've seen king pin bearings rusted to their shells, your cv's won't be happy, pinion bearings it can get into your engine drivetrain etc. If its sat ...

Absolutely yes! Best thing I ever did to the front of mine was put a wrap bar in. Ask Wicked about the difference it made to his. Stopping the little bit of wrap stopped his thing from pulling wheel stands as easily and just generally put drive down much better

We're fairly blessed to get any knowledge you have for free Matt, keep it coming!
So I'm led to believe most of the cars in the states are sprung so soft you can push them down half way through their travel, but they use shock valving and sway bars to control the car over bumps. Is this pretty much ...

Re: Profender Coil overs???
Ah, it's good to be back on outer limits, nothing's changed.
In my limited experience the shocks are good but the coils are not. By the time you buy quality springs, perhaps the price isn't that far off a fox coil over with springs on it already.
Worth looking into anyway

I can't help but feel there has been plenty of buggy comps in the past come and go. Perhaps there's something in the TT rules that has made it more interesting for the spectators, hence why it's grown?
Buggies with skins sounds pretty much like Mod class in WE rock. Just not sure if it's the way to go

Re: Iron Man light bars
We've been having an ongoing discussion here as to whether it's worth us trying to bring in the better quality but more expensive lights. Alot of people don't understand how there can be such a difference in price.
So we got a sample order of a cheaper brand light, and I've literally just recieved ...

Re: Iron Man light bars
Evan you make a good point as well. I also get people wanting their light bar to shine 5k down the road like a pencil beam spot light does. Which in my opinion is not where the danger/ important stuff is. And a pencil beam is almost never pointed where you want to see. I can comfortably see up to ...

Re: Iron Man light bars
I doubt that it will be possible to get a decent LED spot light - the nature of the LED reflector is such that it would be hard to focus it to give a spot beam

Damn it! To many engines around here, I got totally confused. Can I start again?
I meant to say, can I bolt my 2H diesel to the auto that is currently behind the 3f.
Sorry for the mix up, really appreciate the help

60 series guru's please help!
Hi guys, I know this will be posted somewhere but I just can't find the exact info I'm after. My question is: Can I bolt a 2f engine to the Landruiser auto box? The box is currently bolted to a 3f, and I'd like to convert the car to the 2f turbo motor that I have.
Any help would be greatly ...

Re: LED Light bars
The majority of the cheaper light bars out there do lack distance, this is absolutely true. People buy them and are disapointed, and as a result, think that light bars are shit for long distance. It's made even harder to pick the difference between good ones and bad ones, as the stats on a cheap one ...

Just build the cage the way CCDA want it done and everyone will be happy.
I agree, the CCDA setup seems perfect for this level of motorsport. The cams system make it so hard, and is surely over the top for this style of vehicle. Again it's been keeping winch challenges safe and insured for a long ...

Re: Tuff Truck 2013> Rules Update
The design requirements are pretty clear on the CCDA website. You can print all the material and design parameters on a big A3 sheet of paper, stick to your wall for quick reference as you build. So design will be easily policed by TTC.
It does matter what material is used, just as it matters how it ...

Re: Tuff Truck 2013> Rules Update
I'm sorry Bentzook but that is a pretty naive post. the size & weight of the vehicle is only a small part of the cage design. The structure layout & size limitations are based around a standard that has been found to be the most efficient & effective in rollover protection. If you are in a multi ...
