If u are reffering to the coil stack at the top, the springs are designed like that so with long travel shocks, at full hang the spring is still captive. Thats the only reason they are made like that, those coils do nothing under normal driving, dont limit up travel, only keep spring captive at hang.

Ha. funny stuff. Actually just got home from dumping a whole ute load of old tyres in the cage at the local tyre joint. Such a great place to swap, came home with a nice set of light truck tyres for the car trailer! Dropped off about 16 rooted tyres, brought home 4 good ones! fair swap.

Looking at buying a Patrol

HI. Looking at trading in my puss-a-lux (big mistake buying that!) and getting a wagon. Trying to decide between an 80 series cruiser and a most likely a GQ.

Was wondering first of all, what sort of mileage can i expect out of a 4.2 efi, against a 4.2d, and a 4.2TD? I have noticed the 4.2TD's ...

Mile Marker Winch

Hi. Just seen a 9000lb mile marker winch in this months 4x4aus. I have an 88 Xtra cab hilux, which i like to get out in the bush in as often as i can. A winch would be really handy, but as i can only see it getting used a few times a year dont wanna get too carried away on $$$.

Saw these 9000lb ...
