Re: Aquired a HJ61RG, found some 'isses' on way home.

Tighten the two or three long bolts in the region of the oil leak. From memory, there are two bolts that join the transfer case to the gearbox up the top, and go through the fifth gear housing. Mine worked lose several times and oil goes everywhere. If you drop the gearbox support beam, and let the ...

Re: Aquired a HJ61RG, found some 'isses' on way home.

All input to my question is greatly appreciated guys. Last couple days I have been back under the Sixty and cleaned up all old oil build up from the sides and under the gearbox and transfer case then took it for a couple laps around the block. This revealed that the oil is in fact leaking from the ...

Berfore damaging the gears- isnt that the point of a rebuild?? or is a rebuild just bearings and seals?

Diesel Additives (80 series TD GXL)

Hi folks, a mate mentioned to me that he runs his diesel with a hint of 2stroke oil in every tank. He says it ensures better lubrication and economy.

Can anyone share their thoughts on this... positives or negatives please.

I got my recall notice 3 years (or more) ago and 1 year after i purchased the F300 Fez. The FECV is located behind the inner rear panel on the right side. Easy fix- takes about 20mins.

This picture i took from the Adelaidenow news site from an article about a head-on between this AlfaRomeo and "a four wheel drive". Funny how they dont specify the 4bie but oh, is that a Hummers/ H4 grill on the front of that wreck? http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k619/RoxbyRat/HummerVsAlfaRomeo ...

My viscous Hub had completely locked up which was great in Summer!
But not so good in Winter as in those 0 and -3 mornings the motor never gets even warm. Is this repairable?
Ive been quoted 2nd hand hub is around $120 and new $600.

Re: Safety Recall ?

Im pretty bloody annoyed at this. Ive had my Frozi 5yrs now. For the first two years there was the raw fuel smell in the cab. I payed out heaps to mechanics to find the issue. Lots of time in the shed I ended up removing and plumbing up a 'filter box' inside the panel above the fill pipe. When I got ...

So now you suggest that the side exit pipe is better??

I have a 1992 Frozi Hard top (snowpack). Taken the lid off it once and was gassed so put it straight back on.
