Thanks guys, it's sounding like a good option. The rear seats would defo have to come out to make room for the fridge etc.

Anyone know if there is room in the engine bay for a second battery?

New Suzuki Jimny Sierra?

I don't know much about Zooks, so hoping to get some advice from zook owners. I'm thinking of getting a new Jimny Sierra. I want it as a DD and to get to campsites out in the bush. I'd fit a snorkel, decent tyres and maybe a 2" lift. What do people think of the latest JS? I see a lot of info on the ...

Dropped radius arms to fix GQ shimmy?

So I've got this shimmy problem which is slowly getting worse. My mechanic has replaced panhard bushes, fitted a RTC steering damper and done a weel alignment and balance and it's done sweet FA towards fixing the issue. The last thing he told me was I should fit dropped radius arms (I have a 3" lift ...

Yeah you are right actually and 265/75R16 is close to 32" give or take. So I guess I mean 32's really.

Thanks for the replies if I can sell the 33's I'm thinking of fitting a set of 265/75 MTZs soon. Otherwise I'll have to wait til the STTs wear out and the rate they are wearing that will be a while!

31s to 33s.....noticable loss in performance?

I have 33's on my GQ TD42, but lately I've been thinking about putting it back on 31's. It's basically a tourer and I don't need 33's most of the time, so I was thinking I could be better off with 31's as it would give me better acceleration and pull up highway hills better. I've never driven my ...

I've been thinking about getting a hand held 5W uhf, quite exy, but useful cos you can use it out of the car if you need to and it doesn't say 'steal me' the same way a big antenna mounted on the bullbar does.

That said range would be more limited.

Any thoughts on this?

Just called them and they say you are covered as long as you are on a 'marked track'. So I am covered offroad, hooray!

That said I don't trust insurance companies and I'm sure they will find all sorts of reasons not to pay out for off roading mishaps.

Interesting Scott,, the STT look pretty similar to the MTR and I am happy enough with my STTs. I think some ppl bag the STT based on performance of the old style STT.

I am finding wear rate pretty good on the STTs and they have heaps of grip for what I do.

steering wobble under light braking

My steering wheel wobbles (kind of tries to turn left - right -left...) when I am braking lightly, it's not really bad, but definitely noticeable.

Does this mean I have warped rotors or something else?

Thanks,

Ive got the STTs and they're awesome, ideal if you want something with a bit more grip than all terrain but still want something that performs on road.

Good in the wet and super quiet for a mud tyre.
