Re: disco 2" lift
Hi guys
Looking at doing a lift on my Ser 1 Disco. Have done a search and found a few things but nothing in to much detail. Have done several lifts in the past on Toyota's and Nissans but the rover look a bit more complex. Was looking at the LRA kit but it is 2 & 1/2 inch and in QLD you can only ...

ZF Auto Swap
I am considering doing an Auto swap on my disco. I believe I currently have the R380 gearbox ( it is a 1996 Disco).
- What are the gear ratios of the ZF ?
- Will my crawl ratio be better ?
- Will the ZF be able to handle more abuse than my R380 manual ?
- Will there is a be a lot of power loss ...

Inititally I am planning on 33's while we develop this 4in kit, and once we are happy with that I plan to go to GQ front and 80 rear with custom links. So Im not real keen to spend much on the rangie diffs, was just curious to know what was inside them.
I wont be doing anything silly on the rangie ...

Thanks mate. I guess the other type of ZF4HP22 with a computer is the ZF4HP22H. But even the 4ZFHP22 came with different ending number that I believe have some difference in gear cuts.
I found this on the Aschcrfot website :
Common types of 4HP22 are, 332, 593, 699, 740, 741, 742, 744, 747, 748

How many versions of ZH4HP22 is there ?
Hi All
This subject has been beaten. I did a search on the forum but I just wanted to check whether there are more than one generation of ZF4HP 22 that came out.
I am looking to do a swap on my Disco from manual to auto. Found an auto on a RRC 1990 and another off an RRC 1993....still looking to ...

Allied Beadlocks on Simex ET II
I am mounting Allied beadlocks wheels on Simex 36"X12.5 ET II. The outer bead of the tyre seems too thick and comes down in two stages which does not allow the locking ring to sit properly and be able to be tightened correctly with the screws.
Appreciate your advice,

Hi All
Been a while swamped with work and business travel.....

As you all know the ET II has an additional central lug should this be rethreaded.

Mine was doing this in heavy rain, so I turned the scoop around. Although the scoops are designed to throw the water to the back and drain out the slots, some still seems to get down the tube and on to the filter, as mine was all sort of sagged when I looked at it. However I think I lost a lot of ...
