Thanks
It is a turbo diesel . It supposed to be reconditioned unit but so far nothing but problems.
For some unknown reason engine looses oil and spits it out all over
the engine bay. Thru turbo somehow I believe.
Any reason why would this happen ?

Not sure about Feroza. Rocky Widetrack came with IFS and coil at the back. Pre march 93 or narrow track came with leaf at the front and back. There is huge differance in driving comfort between the two. Narrow is rough as guts and Widetrack is softer and more comfy. If only Daihatsu decided to go ...

You can still get Airflow snorkel for 85-93 Rockys.
My is a widetrack ( wide flares) Rocky so I addopted Airflow snorkel from NissanGQ. It does not fit perfectly but it does the job .

Another ignorant question . Can you fit LSD from Rocky to Feroza ?

Sorry if this sounds stupid and I never owned Feroza but I was under impression that most of the parts were the same or similar .

I found that most of my electrical problems are related to trailer plug.
Round or flat - you get some mud or water and the fuses go bang, bang specially with indicators , stop lights and horn.

94 Rocky is just what I got and getting one for that price is good value.
Since Aug 93 Rocky came with only one spec (4 colours) .
2.8 Turbo Diesel intercooled (75Kw), Air, IFS and coil on the back.
Average fuel consumption is around 10l/100kms.

Let me know if you need any info .

If you got trailer plug check that.
Removed it , disconnect all the wires and leave them loose.
Put new fuse and try indicators.
If they work then you have a short circuit on the plug connectors.

Roofrack design for Rocky (Feroza would have same issue) ?

I'm thinking of putting a roofrack on my Rocky. Two kids take back seat space and don't really want to pull trailer. My only concern is the plastic roof. How strong is it really? I want roofrack to run from above windscreen to the back doors. I would use it for camping gear, spare tyre, swags etc ...
