Re: NW Pajero Centre Diff Lock
not sure if you can mate, I think the centre diff is mechanical in that once you shift to lo it locks the centre diff.
What I did in my previous NL was to ground one of the solenoids (yellow I thnk) via a dash switch. This gave me low without the front wheel drive but still had centre diff locked.

Re: 4M41 2003ish model reliability?
Dont expect a 2002 3.2 to be equal to the new 3.2. The 3.2 was substantially upgraded in power & torque for the NT range .
From memory the power went up to 147kw & torque went up to 441nm. It was about a 20% improvement.

Re: ring and pinion 4.90
I have montero 1993 (4.62), I will like to increase the ratio of ring and pinion to 4.90, I know that 3.5 montero sport have it, is the same diameter, I can change it? what motor do you have?? 3.ol or 3.5l. 1993 could be either (in Oz anyway). If you have 3.5l then the 4.90 will fit. If not you are ...

reduction gears for Gen 2
Guys, in case anyone is after 3.15 reduction gers for their Gen2. Hardmanns have re specced the design meaning a lowering of the reduction ratio from 3.15 to 2.70 due to the small modding required for the 3.15 to fit. They will however do a special re run of 3.15 if they can get a minumum order of ...

Re: My L67 NH SWB
Oh I see , well if you ar e getting 13s, thats really good I reckon especially for all the grunt on tap you have. You could always go to higher diffs, 4.30 for example , from what I have discovered the Cw&p from the Gen 2 are interchanegable with the Gen3 (up to NP anyway). The NP petrols run 4.3 ...

Hi mate, fantastic job well done, one-offs arent easy. When you say you have high fuel consumption what sort of figures are you talking about?? have you worked out why?? I guess having 4.90 diffs dont help. FWIW my NL 3.5 with 4.636 gets about 14-15 l/100ks & I run in 4wd H all the time. I find the ...

Re: factory locker, non factory wiring
as previously stated, you need to pick up an active from a different circuit that the pump is on, because the switch circuit being completed is the only sure way of knowing if the locker is engaged or not. Just because the compressor is on doesnt mean the diff is locked. I picked up an active from ...

I had it powdercoated, it looks good. I bought the frames ...

mate, i dont recall the cases having to be modified to that extent!.
Are you sure you havent got gears meant for the larger transfer cases, ie the 3.5l & 2.8 TDI. They were a larger gearset.

Re: mitsubishi diff ratios
I don't know how true it is, but I've read that an engine operates most efficiently at its torque peak. So, if you take a torquey motor (i.e. turbo diesel) with a comparatively low peak torque (i.e. 2000 rpm) and drive along the highway at 100km/h you'll use a certain amount of fuel. . Using that ...

depends upon what sort of gas system,
if its sequential vapour or liquid injection , its good, if its the older mixer type, no good, will only have problems later on.

Hi Toyo guys, I was very interested in the TRD Hilux when it was released in 2008. Got some pretty good write up too.
