Just a note for you guys. Here are the facts on CB compared with fuses. A fuse is deemed to be satisfactory if is blows within 20% of its target current. This means that a 20 amp may allow anything up to 24 amps. A CB is guaranteed to break at the target amps end of story. Seriously though don't get ...

paint on winch
I'll save you some time and money. Winches are designed to allow water to pass through them and still function. The problem is being able to keep the condensation out or evict it. Once it is in the main body of water will drain out. Due to the huge ammount of current that the winch motor sucks the ...

i had this problem really bad with a five inch lift, but it was a eighty and i couldn't drive out of it. We did all what you have done and still the problem. By changing the castor correction angle the shaking was greatly reduced. What is your castor bush angle?

Hey Gueey, you should thank your lucky stars that the new leader of the third reich; Tonka is not moderating. You have blatently abused the off topic rule, if you are not careful he might put you on the band bus! Surely someone knows someone who has fitted an exhaust brake. P.S. Gueey; is it true ...

Exhaust Brake for TD42
Within our customer group we have about six GU utes and wagons with TD42 motors some with and without turbos. We all run about 35 or 36 inch rubber and even with the crown wheel and pinion change find the decent speed still a little fast. Has anyone successfully installed an electronic or vacuum ...

shocks
This debate keeps rolling around. I have been involved in fitting a large number of shocks to GQ and GU patrols. If you set up a test jig and put Rancho, Koni, Tough Dog, Bilsteins on it and run them through a varied test procedure the differences are hard to pick. At the end of the day you need to ...

2.8 GU with rock hoppers
A customer of ours is looking to fit rock hopper reduction gearing to a 2.8 turbo diesel GU 1999 model. I know that you will respond with buy a 4.2 but this truck is in exceptional condition and it already has alot of money spent on it. The idea behind the reduction is so that we can fit 35s or 36s ...
