gu rear wheel bearing kits

My 00 gu patrol wagon has a leaking axle seal so may as well get wheel bearings done also. Has anyone used Don Kyatt bearing kits, is the seal and bearing quality good and if not what other suppliers would you recommend. Cheers

Can't really comment as I was running 33's MUDZILLAS and swop that for the current 285/75/16's ... so no idea how they would run using anything smaller than 33's..... but i am not complaining as it still beats previous old N/A GQ TD42 running 32's. :D[/quote]
No worrries thanks for the info

1) Current GU TD42T 14l/100k's running 285/75/16 M/T 2) Previous GQ TD42 12-13l/100k's running 32's M/T What diffs are you running in your td42t and have you got the speedo sussed with the larger tyres? 3.9's and speedo hasn't been calibrated.... so i guess it would be better than 14l/100k's :D ...

Try chaining the front of a patrol to the front of a newer 4wd (hilux, prado etc) and have a tractor pull. Watch as the patrol rips the more "refined" newer "4wd" to pieces.

Have a safari fitted but got the pump timing and boost sorted straight after I fitted it. The results didn't jump out at me in the short distance I drove the car prior to getting it tuned. Nothing like the 3" exhaust did, couldn't miss that difference. The safar intercooler is pretty small, not much ...

I have a safari intercooler which I got for $1650 and fitted myself. I am no mechanic but it looks too small to do that much. The reason I got it is because it came as a kit and was pretty easy to fit myself which was pretty attractive given where I live there wasn't much alternative. In hindsight I ...

For my next trip down to the police state I was considering fitting a cruise control to my '00 gu td42t so that I can look at where I am going instead of watching the speedo considering the number of revenue cameras they have down there. Gregorys manual is disappointing. 26 pages to cover td42,td42t andtd42ti. 50 pages for zd30, still concentrates on the zd30 in general throughout the rest of the manual. Gives torque settings and tolerances etc which are useful, so is worth having, just could have been far more detailed.

Gregory's have updated the patrol manual #519 to include the td42, td42t and td42ti motors. Whilst not what you would call comprehensive it does have some useful information torque settings etc. It is available through Haynes manuals in Melb for about $60.
