MK pitman arm

I would like to put the draglink under the pitman arm like a GQ, I know people have done this to an MQ/MK pitman arm and was wondering what is involved in doing this?. And would a GQ pitman arm fit an MK power steer box??

Cheers

On the top of the gear box there is a sticker with a broadcast code something like 6HBD, 6HZD etc. not sure what it means,

option 2 sounds good. Can you pm me some prices. I did not realise the ls1 pcm controlled the auto too. Would it control the vz auto? I have been told they have a different broadcast code to the earlier vt vx and vy autos. Cheers hoppy

This is a quote from Joel

Can't use LS1 computer must use E30 due to different crank/cam reluctor setup. Can't (to my knowledge) use a cable with the E38 ecu, may be possible but would depend if there is a model using that ecu and operating system that has a cable to use as a tune start point ...

i dont know but your telling me that the boffins out there have not made a computer program that will let the 6lt run on just the throtle body position and the o2 sensors if not the ls1 is the better motor because you can do anything o them?

Im sure there is a computer out there to run the 6lt ...

you could run a cable throttle body, get a mafless tune and get killa to send you a harness for alot cheaper than that.

That will still cost, need to buy a cable throttle body, then pull the motor apart to change the cam and crank reluctors to suit a Ls1 ECU cause the E38 CEU cant operate cable ...

In the pic below I have tried to demonstate, the big lug is high at one side then curves to low on the other side, it then makes the low side lower than the small lug in front of it, which gives it the very low speed vibration. They were a great tyre till they started wearing like that.

MK reverse shackle

Hi guy's just wondering if the original rear spring mounts on the front of an MK can be used for the shackles when doing a shackle reversal, or do I need to grind them off and weld in new ones. Also where would the best place to buy new mounts for a shackle reversal??

Cheers
