brake signal on a 2012 holden colorado

Hi all,
just wiring up trailer brakes to the new girl and cant seem to find a brake signal off the brake switch. every time i do it check one of the 3 wires the check esp warning comes on the dash and the brake lights stop working?!?!?
any help welcomed!!

Thats a good idea, but i have a 80.

A mate wants a winch bar and i know of one for sale but cant tell if its a IFS bar or not. his hopeless and could not measure his own finger!

Any chance someone can or would know what the measurements are and post them??

Hey all, can anyone help me with where i can get intake duct parts from to do 4'' snorkel with rubber bends and all the pipe work to set up for a front mount? Im in east melb but are happy to pay postage.

Sounds like the heater core is leaking, think its a dash out job as you have to remove the hearter box to get it out.

Cant say i have seen it much on landcruisers. if the cooling system has not been serviced regularly then its going to happen to any car.

I had the same prob on my 80 after doing a few bog holes. Ended up being the alternator. removed it and found the regs brushs were full of dirt/mud. cleaned and checked they were free and making good contact and has been good for the last 2 years!

just a thought, may be the reg in your alt is worn ...

Whats the throttle position sensor and coolant temp sensor doing???

i would also start with throttle body clean and base idle adjust/reset. also remember to pull the fuel pump and ecu fuse to power down the ecu. we also used to do a relearn by going through the gears(auto) and then also doing it ...

Dont they run a crank sensor off the back of the engine onto the flywheel or something??
been years but i think this tells the ecu the crank position and when to earth the injectors to allow fuel ????

Intercooler question

fluid to air cooler or air to air?

I would think fluid to air, due to low air flow in low range and higher engine/engine bay temps but then why do the comp boys not use them or the ones that did have, have now removed them? :?

Hey, mine did the same thing, ended up being a short in the motor. Got a new motor from arb for about $55 i think it was.

Some times it aint worth the stuffing around :roll:

Hi all,
Wanting to get the ball rolling with fitting a turbo to my 4.5l petrol cruiser.

Have called a few turbo mobs only to be told that they would just fit the kit as from safari for $2500 plus tuneing and exhaust. Then if i wanted a ecu another $1200 plus tune and $2600 for a fluid/air ...
