make sure you check the sunroof frame for rust. if it's to bad you could have some leaking problems. With that many km on the clock you may want to get it checked out before handing over any cash. my NH has done 225,000km and doesn't burn any oil so you may be lucky.

Coil Spacers

Just wondering if anyone has seen coil spacers available to fit the LWB NH. I have seen them to fit cruisers and pootrols but not the Paj. I want around 30mm just the lift the back up a bit more. I brought new 2 inch progressive rate king springs about 3 years ago and they sagged quite a bit in 3 ...

It's totally stock standard so it shouldn't be the brake bias valve. Hopefully it's just some air in the system. Going to go and have another look on Saturday. Is the Timing belt a big job on this model? cause it hasn't been relpaced since it's 100,000 service (58,000 overdue :? ). Does anyone know ...

TD 80 Series

Hi Folks While taking a 1995 TD 80 series GXL for a test drive the other day i noticed how spongy the brake pedel was. It wasn't fading away but the pedel had very long travel and was very spongy. Is this normal for an 80 series to be like this as it's the first one i have driven. The rest of the ...

My Bendix rears only lasted about 25,000km and they were down to the metal. And the fronts have done about 50,000 but i'm not sure what brand they are. I put Ferodo 4x4 pads in the back this time lets hope they last a bit longer.

Do they know what causes these engines to blow up? is it the injectors? or is it somthing else? I've heard if they do blow up you can't rebuild them because you can't plain the head. i'm still not sure if this is true or not.

Cheers!

that will be costing holden $$$$$$$. It's a big job. They could have done this when they did the injector seals the first time. I wonder if this caused any of the engine blow ups that i have heard of?

Thanks Greggo. If the IAC motor was faulty would this cause the engine to stall when coming to a stop? This has been happing lately especially with the A/C on.

Cheers!

The dealer down here in hobart spent 38 hours on the car trying to find a similer problem which turned out to be a faulty injector. This happened just after it had the recall done in the injector seals.

I Don't think it will be a problem having a small amount of the old coolant in the system. Maybe run a radiator flush through the car before you put the new coolant in. Coolant manufactures normally recommend this process anyway.

Like any alloy head it will corrode if you don't change the coolant regularly. use a longlife coolant that way you only need to change it every 4 years. I use Nalcool long life and mix it at 33%. I've had the car for 5 years and had no problems yet.

Hi Tom

I would be using something like Mobil Delvac MX 15w 40 it's a good diesel oil and can be picked up for about $72.00 for a 20lt drum. This oil flows better than a 20w50 when cold. I know people who have been using it for years on T/D Pajero's with no problems. I hope this helps.
