Settled springs

This was measured against another Io a mate of mine owns so that may explain part of the discprepancy, but at the end of the day it has sagged a huge amount. You are right, its gonna make a huge difference over what is like at the moment and I will never being rock hopping in it...... I'll leave ...

Not expecting miracles

Thanks for replying guys, its really appreciated. I have had no end of trouble trying to find information on my IO. Kings have said they will make a kit if I send the original springs to them but as the Io is effectively my only vehicle, that makes life difficult. The original springs have sagged by ...

Has anyone used Ironman Suspension. Found that they do a suspension upgrade that ups the spring rate by 25% and gives a minor lift? Is the Ironman stuff good? Also found coil spacers, is this safe/any good. They have 30mm spacers. I was thinking a cobination of the 2 and some rancho shocks if I can ...

Have recently done a little research into tyres and apparently there is not a huge deal you can do to get wider tyres on them  There are a couple of types of tyres that you can get that are far better than the yokohama's but the tyre and rim choice is extremely limited due to the suspension ...

Could be a ABS Sensor, Could be a short in the wiring.... could be a fault in the brake master cylinder. Hmm hate to say i fella but better take it down to your mittsy dealer and get the diag box plugged in, it will tell you where the problem lies...... They'll prolly charge about 20 to 40 bucks for ...

Hmm, with Aviation Gasoline, performance should be slightly better due to high octane levels but as was said in previous post.... it has the lead. Your catalytic converter should last approximatly 50 mtrs running on it and then chernobyle itself..... pray it only comes out the back of the exhaust ...

A mate has just clocked over 80000kms on them in his LWD and they look bloody brillant. He's says he wont buy anything else and I trust his opinions as a rule of thumb. I'll be gettin a set for the Io when I need new tyres, which wont be long by the way I'm doing kms and using tyres.

Checked almost everywhere and no one seems to do a kit for them in OZ. I can get coil over lift kits out of Japan but they only give me a 30-40mm lift and cost $2700.00  This is just a little out of my budget... as I'm getting married in 10 months time....

King Springs :?

I'm sure some of you ppl out there have had experiences with King springs. I am in need of a lift and coil overs are insanely expensive. A mate of mine has organised for me to send springs and shocks to kings and they will make up a kit.... They have said they have been looking for someone to do ...

If he's a sparky, he understands electricity and should have no problem rewiring it.... hell, I have no qualifications at all and I have done it a number of times, its pretty much common sence..... if you don't know what it is, dont mess with it.

Just got word from 4wd specialist... apparently no one has lifted a iO but.... it is on the list for kit development and they have said that if I send my springs a dampers to them they will develop a kit for me at a reasonable price as they will then sell a iO lift kit due to a reasonable amount of ...

Cheers South, I had a look at the exhaust last night and its a suprising large diameter, appears to be 1.75" most of the way through. Spent to much time looking at while trying to straighten the bash plate. I'm looking into cams at the moment for that low mid torque. Its a bit odd as the lancer cams ...

With 4x 80mm throttle bodies on a 2L engine, you will have no throttle response unless your reving the crappers out of it. The throttle size would more likely be under 60mm and even then thats pretty large for 500cc (each pot). Your better off lowering the vehicle, putting big sticky low profile ...

100mm throttle body

No not on a n/a 1.8 (current heart).... actually 2.0 turbo @ 1.4 bar boost (new heart from EVO if I get my way). Was actually contemplating using the larger (not quite 100mm, possibly 80mm odd from memory) quad throttle body off of a Nissan Pulsar GTiR after doing the turbo conversion. I just love ...

A mate of mine had a Brumby with a 4 inch lift kit, to stop tearing up CV joints we used a set of leather CV boots from a 911 and repacked them every 15,000 kms and had no hassles with cv joints. He could put that subey anywhere anything else could go and a lot further. The only thing we ever broke ...

Pajero IO Lift

Does anyone know much about the Pajero IO's. They share the same super select 4x4 as its larger brother. I am looking to find out what I can do with mod's IE lift kits mainly as engine work is easy. I have a TJM alloy bar and Genuine Towbar. My aim is to give it a bit more power and a bit of a lift ...
