Yeah thats what I've been thinking of doing, but would be nice to know if im higher or lower than where it theoretically should be.

Fitting a 253 into an '83 Hilux. Im making my own mounts and am looking for info on where the motor should sit in relation to the chassis, eg a measuerment from somewhere on the engine to somewhere on the chassis. I didnt think to measure the crankshaft to chassis before i pulled the old engine out.

According to the manual there is a factory fitted one. I'll just replace the one thats there if its that cheap but would like to find out what the original setup was.

Need to know if shocks from a 60 series criuser will fit an early Hilux. I think the top and bottom mounts are the same but need to know for sure.

Just stripped the front diff in a RN46 to do the hub bearings and the shims that were in there were different top and bottom.
