thanks for the tip! ill remember that when i go to get my new exaust, should sound sweet.

so twin all the way after my extractors with just one high flow lukey in the middle and then still twin all the way to the back after that.

thats what im thinking anyways.

had a read... very interesting, checked out mine it looks old so im assuming its the original which means that 25 years on its most likely stuffed.

in my rear suspension set up i have 40mm lifted king springs with poly air bags in them.

not quite sure what the spring rate of them is but they feel ...

i might be interested! im gona be headed bush soon for the first time in the new beast and most likely comin back with some form of broken rear diff, could need spares!

it gona take a bit of getting used to, having 4 extra cylinders under my right foot me thinks :D

well it turned out that there was a spec of dirt in the presure valve and it was jamed good!

Took a fair bit of effort to get it out but its all back together in good working order at last!

bled the steering box as well and fluid came out pretty much staight away, so now i shouldn't have to touch ...

thanks ill go and try it now!

another suggestion i had was that i may have gotten a small spec of dirt in the presure release valve and that could stop it from seating properly and building up presure.
ill check that out as well.

hi all,

i have just rebuilt my leaky power steering pump on my 81 RR which all went fine now it doesnt leak! hooray

but now i dont seem to have any power steering at idle (650rpm). it takes untill about 2500-3000 rpm to start woking.

is it possible that i have air in the system and it needs ...

hey mate,

im with justinc as well, i recon a broken clutch fork would be the most likely problem seeing as you cant depress the clutch pedal at all and you have had your clutch replaced once before. its probably just snapped and got jammed up.

do you know if they changed the fork as well when they ...

yeah there aint many fuses in the old rovers, i found that your more likely to blow a globe or a switch in your case when there is a short rather than the fuse sometimes.

yep that looks like the lighting switch in my rangie too.

i managed to fix the switch easily enough but now the problem is on the back of the ignition barrel, same thing with one of the rivets through the plastic backing being loose because of the heat it generates when the lights are on.

check the contacts on the back side of the ignition barrel, i had the same prob my lights would work when you moved all the wires under the dash and not when you let them go.
turned out it was a loose connection on the back of the ignition barrel just taped it up and now it works fine.

next to do on the list shortly after roady and reg is a 2 1/2 inch body lift, then some big rubber!

yep your right,

the wheels and tyres in those photo's are gone.
the car is sittin on a set of rims 15X7 that will fit a zook and the tyres are hankook all terrains, about a 28in tyre i think.

the WRX seats and the rear bar are still up for grabs.

if your after the whole car including seats and ...

there is a part of me that wants to fix it, but when i think about it, its not gona be ready by winter and as soon as i start to swap stuff over things like seals will need replacing, things will start to break, ill want to rebuild the gear box and motor and even when im done there will be heaps ...

as far as i know yes. 5/5.5 is the patern i have. suposedly the same as F100 patern.

one rim slightly damaged is fixable and its still holding air. tread is 99%. for rims and tyres ...
