Have a look at the above link. It shows the dimensions of the bush required. That should give you some idea.

the inner oil seal is a piece of piss to change - the O ring is in the same position. The outer oil seal is a PITA to do. You need a press to take the axel out.

How about a Territory? Do it as a sleeper and start driving circles offroad around "real" 4WDs. That would be fun. :D

It is almost a certainty that this will go ahead - *almost*. Depends on how financially my Bundera buildup smacks me. I just got a price for a bush kit from ARB - $340

I will have to start searching wheel base lengths and comparing to the commy.

It should be a fun project tho. :D

What Chassis for a Commodore shell?

I know of the Outlander vehicle that uses a H series wagon body on a Patrol chassis, but what about a Sedan body? I have a VK commodore that I don't know what to do with. I was thinking about a super 6 conversion out of a VS Calais, but everyone has done that. What would make it special is that on a ...

Which is what is being done. 3 - 4 inch suspension lift. 2 inch body lift. 35inch tyres on a big-arse offset rim! :D

Here is an old pic of my Bundy with 80 springs in the rear and standard in the front.

That lift difference looks around the 3 in mark to me - even with a lower rear tyre pressure (it was leaking)

Hmmm looks like I am getting conflicting information.

Okay, then. Why does the standard spring sit lower then the 80 spring? This is not installed into the vehicle.

I can see no reason why the 80# front spring wont fit into the bundys rear right. It has the same size mounts in the chassis and on the diff housing.

I have absolutely no idea. I have just been told that if you go over 4 inches you *should* have an offset bush kit installed and since the original bushes are stuffed, I thought now is as good a time as any.

What offset bushes for lifted Bundera

Anyone else who has put 80# springs into a Bundy might be able to help me here. I need to buy a bush kit for my build-up and I have been told to get an offset kit. What degree of offset do you guys recommend?
