200 Series GX Landcruiser - Best Dealer Price?
G'day, I'm in the market for a new 200 series GX Landcruiser Wagon, no accessories, diesel, QLD. Has anyone already done the painful dealer negotiations? can someone PM or post me with the target price I should be paying for the vehicle? It would be good to have a target figure others are paying for...

Landcruiser 70 series v8 ram head snorkel fitting
Hi, anyone have advice on how to replace the factory mushroom snorkel head with a ram style head? The sizes seem incompatible. I was thinking of a PVC inner joiner? Thanks

That kit number doesn't line up on the Firestone official website. I was hoping to order through these guys as kits are under US$300; http://www.truckspring.com/suspension-p ... stone.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Any ideas? Cheers

Re: Firestone air bags for 2" lifted 2010 70 series ute - he
Thanks this is helpful. If you can find the part # that'd be great. Did yours have the 2" lift? Also, do you know if the bag is secured to the top and bottom bracket or only the top? I was wondering how they would limit travel if they were only attached to the top mount allowing the axle to sti...

Firestone air bags for 2" lifted 2010 70 series ute - help
Does anyone know the kit number I need to fit firestone air bags to the rear of a 2010 70 series ute with 2" lift?
Do the bags install in the place of the bump stop or do they sit on the outside of the chassis rail?
Thanks

I'm surprised you guys haven't found making biodiesel cost effective. I pump out 150L batches for around $50. The cost savings makes the small amount of effort collecting oil well worth while. I've bought a few things off this Scintex business, pretty good to deal with, they've got some nice gear. ...

sd33t how to tell cracked head?
Hi Guys, Interested to know if there are any tricks to identifying a cracked head on the sd33? Got the head off and cleaned the surfaces with razor blade, can't see any cracks, I heard the cracks can be well hidden. Where do cracks typically form? is it worth getting engine shop to perform tests whi...

G'day all, anyone know what's up with the 'U' shaped hose which runs from below the thermostat back to the water pump on SD33? I think its called the hot water bypass hose?? your new build sounds great, i'm sure you'll solve your issues with what you've described I agree the overfueling will generate heat, however I still think the cooling system should be able to cope. My truck goes like a rocket for what it is so could be overfueling however it doesn't blow excessive ...

yes I've already pulled and cleaned my factory engine oil cooler, there was a bit of rust and crud in there but nothing to rave about turning your heater on effectively increases the size of your radiator as there is a water circuit and small heat exchanger under your dash comments like 'by turning ...

hi guys, it really sounds to me as though the standard radiators in these trucks or at least the cooling systems are not up to scratch. Pulley to suite 20mm keyed shaft
G'day all, Just bought one of those 4 stroke 6.5hp engines from ebay. I'd like to fit a small (approx. 2" diameter) v belt, cast iron or simular pulley to the output shaft. Been scrolling the net, it seems 20mm diameter is not common, most keyed pulleys suit 3/4" shafts. Anyone know who mi...

SD33T Radiator bubbling - Head Gasket Failed?
Hi Guys, I fear the worst, I went to check my radiator water yesterday and when I removed the cap a loud sucking sound was heard. GQ steering box into MQ
G'day, does anyone know if a GQ steering box is compatible with MQ? My concerns are the steering shaft spline or coupling... I know the pitman arm is reverse tapered and different.
