Just want to know a few things... Who are these people who say the ecotec hasn't any torque? Have they done the conversion before? If so where were they when I wanted information about the conversion? :? On a serious note now, the falcon 6 does make sense considering it would be a better fit ...

I had an injected 250 crossflow in my FJ40 and it went pretty good (wasn't standard though). About the torque factor, all that comes down to is gearing. I haven't had anything to do with the EL engine so I can't have an opinion. If you belive it would be a good swap I say, "Go for it".

Hey Buddy, I'm currently running the Ecotec V6 in my GQ Patrol SWB (ute converted), and was in the same boat as you... not much info about it because it "hasn't been done". You'll get told lots of stories about not being worth it blah blah... no power blah blah... or easier to throw in a V8. The V8 ...

Ratio Question

I need the formula to find what RPM I'll have with a certain tyre size... Search found this "RPM = km/h divided by 1.6 x gear ratio x 336 divided by tyre dia.".... What is 1.6 and 336? My overdrive - 0.696:1 Final ratio - 4.11. I need about 2000RPM @ 100km/hr Thanks in advance for the formula. Dave.

You can run the self diagnostics if you bridge the plug (in the manual) if it's still attached in the harness. Check (test) your ignition module and coil.

They are just a press fit, no special treatment. If you find you need to lengthen the nylon hose there is an adapter (nipple) fitting. We run these fittings on the pnuematic safety shutdown circuits on underground vehicles.

Not too sure if this is the fitting your talking about... if it is, just press the 'orange' section till it meets the 'orange' section closest to the brass, holding that, and pull the hose out. trim the end of the hose square then push the hose back into the fitting till it bottoms out. it will ...

I thought it may have carried too much pressure for a hose and clamp because of the "o-ring snap lock" setup on it.

FUEL PUMP

I have adapted the VT commodore fuel pump into my GQ fuel tank (as you do... ) but broke the fitting in the middle of the three. I looked in the manual but doesn't tell me what it's for (whether high pressue or return etc). Would I need to buy another pump? Can anyone help me? http://i80 ...

Sump clearance?

I have put a V6 into my Patrol and need a reverse bowl sump. Does anyone know if the Marks Adapter Bundera sump "P/N-MES1222" would suffice (pointless buying it if it doesn't), or would I have to make one?

Thanks in advance,
Dave.
