Direct quote from the Chilton Repair manual that covers Jeep Wagoneer/Commando/Cherokee/Truck 1957 to 1986.

Might be a handy publication to chase up for reference.

Making some assumptions here BUT. If your thinking of throwing away your FC170 closed knuckle front diff then contemplate replacing it with a Dana 44F. This "rare" axle is common in any early Cherokee, Wagoneer, Commando and is well known..... Dana 44F suits 1962 - 1965 J200 & J300 1957 - 1964 FC ...

The Chrysler/AMC/Rambler 360's were all used in the Cherokee range but AFAIK the Chrysler 360 is NOT genuine to the CJ10 wereas the AMC is. Back to checking the "genuine" of this rig as - again - they never came with the 737 auto either. Again Cherokee.... All the CJ10's were manual boxes... again ...

From memory (failing fast) the Scout ran a 2" wide spring and the spring rate was fairly soft for a comfy ride. My Traveller was nice to ride in but dropped heaps when loaded. If your spring maker has copied this rate and used the same material config then you have issues. The IH was based on the ...

86mud. I have a 96 Grand and happily run MTR 31"s on a 36mm budget lift. At this height you don't have to worry about driveline angles or panard rod modifications. Be aware the MTR's measure out to a "true" 30". Gets me where I want to go on that budget. 30mm to 40mm lift - wait until you kill your ...

Take a spanner and disconnet BOTH battery terminals. Clean both extremely well. Have some anti-corrision stuff on hand and use same when re-connecting the battery terminals.
Get to the starter motor terminal as well and clean it well.

Problem will disappear - a given.....

Yep. A 108 unit will do for aluminimum quite OK. It will have to work hard to join steel over 4mm however. The spool is ??? wire??? ally???? You will need to change the spool to do "ally" if it's GP steel .08mm. You will need to look at the gas as well. If your not sure, head for your local welding ...

Try this for a rip-off. Fill a 80 ltr tank at the servo and pay (about) $30.00 for the fill.

Go to a bottled gas refiller - as in the big ones for the house heater - and you pay $86.50 per bottle.... :?

And they are about the same size in volume...

Air bags are designed to activate in a direct fore and aft collision mode. Side airbags use a second set of sensors to equate side impact protection.
