where the fork that operates that dog clutch runs there will be two screw type grub screw things that lock the forks to the rod . if theres too much play where the fork engages the dog clutch it will keep jumping out. so you losen the screws and slide the fork along the rod to adjust the clearance ...

go to supa shit or what ever you have near by and get the a valve laping kit cheap as shit to lap the valves back in as clean as they look they wont seal with out being laped in . the valve guide oil seals i used were just an oring type thing the teflon or unbrela type work fine and you only realy ...

there should be a big plate on the transfer and i thing it also has the drain bung in it from memerory. once its off you will see the up the top theres 2 forks on the dog clutch that is high and low range there will be a bolt on each fork to slide it on the rail closer to the dog clutch for ...

pull the big plate off the bottom of the transfer and you can see everything. try adjusting the shift fork first that could be all it needs

only engines i have seen like that just havent had the oil changes often enough. so i would say the last bloke neglected it a bit . i can only imagin what the sump and pick up look like i would rip that off and clean it out while its apart not a big job
